About Us - SWOG Statistics and Data Management Center
The SWOG Statistics and Data Management Center (SDMC), under the leadership of Group Statistician Michael LeBlanc, is located at both the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (FHCC) and Cancer Research And Biostatistics (CRAB) in Seattle, Washington. Biostatisticians are primarily located at FHCC, along with some administrative support. The FHCC-based SDMC component, established in 1984, is located in the Public Health Sciences building on the FHCRC campus, about a mile from CRAB offices.
The role of the SWOG Statistics and Data Management Center (SDMC) is to provide state-of-the-art statistical and data management expertise for the effective design, conduct and reporting of clinical trials. Our research will lead to new standards with respect to statistical design, reproducible research tools and efficient, scalable data management methodologies.
